Ring Leader

I spent the whole of yesterday drawing this, from 3pm till 10/11pm at night and it was all done using pens and pencils.

An average ball point pen for the line art and my wonderfull colouring box set.

I am not sure where the idea came from for this but I am actually very proud of it, it has been ages since I drew a full picture with a proper background.
And yes, the background is playing cards.
Everyday at college...ok not everyday. But most days, the group have a game of cards atleast once or twice and my favourite card has always been the ace of spades.

I have always wanted to give Zarcone a backstory and finally here it is. CIRCUS!! (without clowns). I mean a proper, gothic circus. Including freak show.

Zarcone just so happened to be the child of the ring leader, so as a result, ended up taking the possition when their father died.
